Tam Dao, The Misty Town

TAM ĐẢO THỊ TRẤN MỜ SƯƠNG
Tam Dao is a rocky mountain range in the Northern Delta region of Vietnam, located in Hanoi city and three provinces of Vinh Phuc, Thai Nguyen and Tuyen Quang. The highest peak of the Tam Dao mountain range is located on the border of Tam Dao district (Vinh Phuc) and Dai Tu district (Thai Nguyen), with an absolute height of 1,597 m.
It is called Tam Dao (三島 | meaning Three Peaks) because the mountain range has three small prominent blocks in the middle, towering above the rest when viewed from the south. The locals call these three peaks Thach Ban, Thien Thi and Phu Nghia [1]. Although these three peaks are not the highest in the mountain range, they are the most prominent and characteristic and can be clearly seen from inner Hanoi on clear days.
